I hope you have all had a wonderful summer with your families. It was lovely to see so many of our DTA students at our summer events and I would like to thank parents for their support.
We have a super exciting and busy year ahead and I can't wait to get started. I would like to take the opportunity to welcome lots of new faces and I really hope your child enjoys the DTA Academy experience. We are happy to have you:)
Please make a note of our term dates listed above and some of the events we have coming up.
Notice for all parents/students who attend Saturday classes at Benhurst Primary School-
I will be sending out reminders on class times and listing which zone you need to drop off and pick up your child for the different classes.
Car Park - Kindly drive very carefully and slowly when entering the School. We have a lot of children who attend our classes and their safety is our first priority.
SHOP - Please note Linda who runs our on site shop will not be in until 24th September. You can still order and collect uniform from us online and I will give orders to your class teachers to pass on. Any issues please email me and I will organise any changes.
Snow White starring Diversity Pantomime 2022 - Cliffs Pavillion
I am thrilled to announce I have reserved a limited amount of tickets for the Pantomime at Cliffs Pavilion in Southend on the 10th December 7.15pm
These are £32.50 per ticket non refundable unless the event is cancelled. Payment is required by 1st October 2022.
If you would like to come along with your families please email me as soon as possible to reserve your tickets.
OCTOBER EXAMS
Not long now until our annual dance exams I will be sending out the exam times and full details in the next few weeks. We are committed to getting our students to the required standard, please support us by ensuring they attend as many classes as possible. We may send parents videos for home practise, please encourage this as much as possible. If we feel students would benefit from extra coaching we will contact parents directly.
SHOW DATES 2023
I am thrilled to announce I have secured the Towngate Theatre on the 3rd,4th and 5th March 2023. I will be sending out show letters and full details later this half term, and rehearsals will begin after October half term
PLEASE NOTE AS THE SHOW WEEKEND IS SO CLOSE TO THE FEBRUARY HALF TERM WE WILL RUNNING NORMAL CLASSES DURING THE HALF TERM WEEK. WE WILL TAKE A WEEK OFF CLASSES THE WEEK AFTER THE SHOW.
TROPHY DAY 17th DECEMBER 2022- Please save this date full details to be sent later in the term.
