Update from Miss Charlotte
Miss Charlotte's Update –
I hope you all had a lovely, restful half-term break!
I want to take a moment to say how thrilled we are with the success of our new Saturday venue. It has been a fantastic move, and I’d like to thank all our parents for their support during the transition. Your attention to the emails and information we sent out really helped everything run smoothly thank you!
Looking ahead, we’re gearing up for our summer fete performances on Saturday 5th July. If your child is taking part, please keep an eye on your inbox for more detailed information coming very soon.
We also have some important dates for your diary, including the one we’re all most excited about, our Annual Show is now confirmed for March 2026 please see the dates above and be sure to note them in the diary! It promises to be a truly special event and we can’t wait to share more with you in the months ahead.
Lastly, timetables for the next academic year will be sent out shortly. If your child is thinking about changing or adding classes, please get in touch as soon as possible as spaces are filling quickly, and we want to make sure everyone gets into their preferred sessions. Your child will automatically be enrolled into the classes they already take, so parents only need to let us know of any changes or cancellations. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and for being such a valued part of our Dance Theatre Arts Academy family.
IDTA Exams 2025
I have applied for an exam session on the 18th October 2026 and am waiting confirmation from the exam board. I am currently preparing parent information and liaising with my team on who will be entered. All information will be out this half term and all exam entry fees will be due in before the end of term. I will get this info out as soon as possible.
All students are only entered when we feel they are ready and will progress at their own pace. Please see below a link to out exam frequently asked questions.
Summer Fete day 2025
I have now sent all the information to those classes taking part in this year’s fetes I will send out reminder emails before the 5th July.
Summer Camps 2025
We have two exciting summer camp days this year our Greatest showman and hoop workshop is now fully booked and the waiting list is open. We do have a few spaces in the Wicked workshop so please be sure to book this as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Drama Showcase Date TBC - I am currently looking at organising a drama showcase in the winter term to give all our drama students the chance to shine and show off what they have learnt in their classes. James and I are currently planning and I will forward information as soon as it is confirmed.

Working hours and contact preferences:
Please where possible contact us via email instead of text/WhatsApp for a quicker response. The emails are monitored by Charlotte and Linda so if Miss Charlotte is teaching Linda can deal with queries. WhatsApp messages aren't checked while classes are in action.
WhatsApp is fine for reporting class absences but any concerns that need to be addressed by Miss Charlotte or sensitive issues need to be submitted via email and texts won't be responded to for these issues.
All extra class bookings also need to be booked either via your personal ClassForKids account and not through the website. You can also email us directly. (Current classes will roll over to the next term so parents do not need to do anything unless they wish to add additional classes.

Saturdays - 9.00 - 3.00pm
Sunday - closed
Emails/texts/phone calls will only be responded to within our working hours above.
Reminder about the Parents ClassForKids App
As a reminder that all parents have signed up to the ClassForKids app this is the platform we use when taking your monthly fees. To save you time writing emails, we just wanted to make you aware that parents can check their individual child's classes, class times, term dates and their individual payment plan through the app. You can also book additional classes or add to a class waiting list.
