Update from Miss Charlotte
Wow what a fabulous start to the new term. We have welcomed so many new faces already and I have been blown away by the amount of customer referrals we have received. Thank you so much to all parents who have recommended us it means the world. I know as busy parents it is hard to keep up to date with what’s going on with every activity your children take part in. With this in mind I am going to start regular updates on the DTA Website blog. These updates will be emailed but will be also be on the website blog for easy access. Bite size junks will also be posted on our DTA Academy parent private Facebook and Instagram pages for those super busy parents.
Show packs have now been sent out, if you have not received yours please let myself or Linda know. Please note we have not sent out show packs to new starters, we will do this in the next week or so. Kindly return permission forms as soon as possible so we can begin planning. It would be very helpful if you could let us know if your child is not taking part so we can make a note for choreography and planning purposes.
Halloween October Event- DTA Spook-tacular dance party events
I am happy to announce that we will be running two Halloween events in the half term holiday. These events will be open to DTA Academy students and children from outside the Academy. These events will include lots of games, dance, and Halloween themed activities perfect for your little horrors to keep them busy in the holiday.
Date- 29th October
Times and costs- Children age 3 to reception age- 10.00-12.00pm - £12.50 per child
Children in School Year 1 upwards- 13.00-16.00pm - £30.00 per child
The Venue is Benhurst Primary school Hornchurch

Pantomime trip 2021
We are so thrilled that theatres are now open again and that I can announce that I have been able to secure tickets for the Cliffs Pavillion pantomime CINDERELLA starring Brian Conley. DTA Academy families attended the 2019 pantomime and it was such a wonderful evening. We are planning our trophy presentations on the same day so it will be a wonderful end to the winter term.
The details are as follows: Saturday 18th December - 7.15pm show at CliffsPavilion - Balcony tickets.
Prices per ticket are £38.00 per ticket
I have a limited amount of tickets held so please contact me ASAP if you would like to book tickets. Students and their immediate family are welcome!
I need to make final payment to the Theatre on the 1st October and therefore I must receive your ticket money by Saturday 28thSeptember. Once we have confirmed your tickets have been reserved please transfer the ticket money to the usual DTA Academy account. Contact us if you need these details. We are looking forward to another DTA social event.
Photography session 9th October 2021
I have invited a photographer in for the day on the above date to take some photos of our classes these photos will be available for parents to view online and purchase if they wish. These photos will also be used for the schools website and social media platforms. As a reminder of our terms and conditions parents need to inform us in writing if they do not wish their child to be posted on our website or social media pages. If you do not want your child photographed please inform us via email. It is really important all students wear the correct uniform for each class and hair is tied back in the correct style for genre ie. ballet bun for ballet class. I will send out all uniform lists in the next week or so can parents can check they have the correct items.
